To all gorgeous Amdavadi women-it’s here, the best time in Ahmedabad is here! Let’s dress up, party and dance the week away to glory.

I may be little out of my depth here if I attempted advising you beautiful ladies on dressing and styling for navratris . After all, you’ve been doing it amazing well for years now. However, I do feel that a lot of it gets repetitive, the look, the ensemble and the styling. If you are up for some fun and sexy makeover choices this year, read ahead. As always, for any specific queries feel free to write to me.

Use neck pieces as anklets

Since Navratri is all about putting your best foot forward, go chic this time by using your neck accessories on your ankle and show off the leg in style!

Try short skirts instead of the full length ones

Gone are the days of long chaniyas and ghaghras. If you want a different look this Navratri, try a knee length skirt with lots of gher. The “village belle” look is sexy and fun and lets you show off your long legs.1383735_10152591931928797_670305145_n

Use Kutchi laces on regular skirts and spaghetti tops

Sometimes the only way you get into the Garba spirit is by wearing authentic Kutchi embroidery. If the whole ensemble is too overwhelming for you, adorn your regular attire with traditional laces. Kutchi laces are available at Law Garden and you can wear them as a belt or a neck piece or even as a stole.  You’ll be a head turner for sure!

Go Punk!

Inspired by this year’s Met Gala, this Navratri I am going punk! If you wanna give this look a try, match glittery pants with a kurti  or palazzo pants with a backless choli. If you do not have glittery pants, follow the simple DIY steps:

You will need -Skinny Jeans, Fevicol and lots of glitter dust. Coat, dust, dry and you are all set!

Use dupattas to make a wraparound skirts and halter blouses

If you are tired of wearing the same old clothes every year and do not have the budget to buy something new, take your mom’s sarees and dupattas for a spin. Wrap the saree around the waist and tie them up nicely with cute brooches. You could also use bright colored dupattas as halter blouses or a simple strapless choli too. Wear a different combination every day and be the envy of everyone’s eyes.
