It was a good year, 2013. The downs notwithstanding, the ups more than made up for them. This year was full of firsts for me.

I ran my first long distance in 2013. Yeah 10 K is a lot for me considering the last one I ran was 100m in Kindergarten (and I’m pretty sure I lost!)

My first trek to Machu-Pichu. An experience beyond words!

I started Closet Buddies on a whim and look where its brought me today!

And all this aside, here’s a look back on my sartorial highlights of the year.

Since 2014 is all about dreaming and getting out of our comfort zones, I have a few New Year Resolutions for all of us. Ladies pick and choose and let’s roll!

First and foremost, let’s resolve to eat healthier this year rather than talking about losing 10 pounds. Watch this space for more on that.

Pick up a sport/work out regime and stick to it. Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Tennis or plain vanilla running.

Find more time for hobbies. Let’s not treat them as activities we only pick up when we have time (because we never!). Update your Kindles, restring your guitars or restock your movie library today and get started!

Make an effort to connect to old friends. (Especially the ones that matter). FB and email doesn’t count! Pick up the phone and call or meet them for a leisurely smoothie date if they are in the same city.

2014 is also about dreaming. Travel to a new place. A place you’ve dreamt about all your life. Hopefully 2015 will be about savings! But right now, this year, invest in your dream travel.

Try a new cuisine. If your city has nothing beyond the usuals (yes amdavadis I feel for you!) try the internet and cook up a storm in your kitchen.

And lastly, since 2014 is all about getting out of your comfort zone-try new colors in your wardrobe, a totally new shade of lip color and chuck your age old signature perfume in favour of a new fragrance. You’ll feel like a complete new person! And yes that’s a good thing!

Stay Gorgeous xx
