I have received Avene product samples in my My Envy Boxes here, here, here and here.

I don’t have to talk about the benefits of using sun screen. If you love your skin (and yourself) even remotely, you know you will never step out in the sun without proper protection.

I have an extremely oily skin and it becomes even more unmanageable during peak summers. A non-greasy Sun block is always on my radar. So, when I received the Avene New Dry Touch Emulsion, I gave it a try immediately.

I have been using it for the last ten days (it’s scorching in Ahmedabad) and here’s my take on it.

Pros:

Non-comedogenic, paraben free and hypo-allergenic. Very important points to consider if you would like to keep away from harmful chemicals.

Moisturizes evenly but is not greasy or sticky. Perfect for hot and humid weather. Doesn’t leave a white sheen like most sun screens.

Is extremely light. It’s like you are not wearing anything on your face. You can go ahead and wear your foundation and face powder without weighing your face down.

Very High Protection. All said and done, Indian Summer calls for a 50+ SPF.

Cons:

Priced quite high at Rs. 1250 for 50 ml.

It should last you about 3 odd months, if you use it every day but it’s still on the higher side considering the other options in the market.

Not tinted.

Sometimes, you don’t want to wear layers and layers of makeup (especially during summers). If the sun screen was tinted, it would have been perfect but then “lightness” is their USP and the tint would have definitely added weight.

Most importantly, sun protection doesn’t end at applying sun block. Always wash your face with cold water once you are back from the sun and apply a soothing cream or gel or face oil (that’s what I do).

Stay Gorgeous xx

I would love to know how was your experience in using Babor products? I think you used the product twice in your envy box. Thank you.
