3. Maldives, Maldives

I have said enough about Maldives. And I have to agree with people who say, your honeymoon memories stay with you forever. Apart from the white sands and the blue waters, Maldives gives you what you want most from a holiday-relaxation and peace. Whether you go there alone, in a couple or with family, it will allow you plenty of “me” time. You can choose to get a massage, go for water sports, lounge at the beach or get drunk at the pool bars. Because you are stuck on the island (it’s a good thing!), you end up spending a lot of time with your companion(s) which believe me is a lot of fun :).

And did I mention the seaplanes that take you to your island from the airport! That’s an experience you just cannot miss!

4. Nice, France

It’s difficult to choose one place on the Cote D’Azure because just about everything is impossibly beautiful and must experience!

The beaches at Nice are particularly fun because they are not the typical sandy ones. They are pebbly and that’s why walking barefoot on the beach is quite an adventure. The clear waters and the brilliant sun makes you want to spend the day taking dips and laying on the beach in a loop.

Nice also has a happening night life and if you are in a mood to gamble-Monaco is just a train ride away. If you are in a mood for some celebrity spotting-hit Cannes or St. Tropez which are just a hop and skip away.

5. Goa, India

We’ve been to a few other beach cities in India and Goa may not be the cleanest or the most picturesque (although all you need is a bike and enough beer in you to scout out those virgin beaches) but it’s definitely the most rocking one! Goa on a budget is as much fun as a lavish holiday there.  Apart from the beaches, drinking at the shacks and the all night partying, I have to recommend the flea market shopping there. It’s as much a part of my itinerary as anything else in Goa. And for people who are looking to get inked….look no further! Goa has some of the most skilled and reasonably priced tattoo artists. I should know, I got mine there (both of them!)

Hope you liked reading about these places enough to plan your next vacation there. Some of them are old world, some modern and some in-between, but all of them have a charm that stays with you for years after you’ve been there. Whatever it is that you are seeking in a holiday- picturesque view, fun, leisure, peace or adventure, all of these are sure to deliver!

You can fit them in any budget and with any company. All you need is a ticket and the will to get away.
