The festive season is here and so is the Fab Bag of October 2015. I had been waiting eagerly for this month’s Fab Bag to arrive because you had an option to choose a makeup product apart from 3 fixed beauty products. The main highlight of this month’s bag is the bag itself. The bag has an ethnic touch to it.  The combination of red, pink and golden goes very well with the festive season.

All the products I received are of sample size. They have introduced two new brands this month- Palmer’s and Spa Ceylon. More than the products I am happy with the bag because it can be put to varied uses during the festive season. The cost of Fab Bag per month is INR 699 whereas the total price of the samples sums up to around INR 500 for the samples. It would not be a wise decision to buy the Fab Bag instead you can opt for individual products. The quality of the products is indeed satisfactory but you cannot say the same about the quantity that you are offered.

The products that I received are:

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion-

This has to be the best product in this month’s bag. The product smells so heavenly. You feel as if you have applied chocolate on your body. As soon as I apply the lotion I feel as if I have been transferred to a chocolaty land. It has thicker than a lotion but doesn’t have the consistency of a body butter, it is somewhere in between. The smell lingers on for quite a long time. I applied it at night and I could smell it even in the morning. It also combats dryness to a great extent.

The sample sent is of 50 ml and you can buy it for INR 545 for 500ml. The only downside of this product is its boring packaging. I mean common when you have such a wonderful product you can make the packaging little more interesting and attractive.

Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub-

This is another wonderful product. I liked it more because the timing the product got delivered was just perfect. I received it on the day after Dussehra and it helped me in rejuvenating my tired feet after 9 days of Navratri. It has hints of essential oils like coconut, almond, peppermint and lemongrass. It has a very calming spa like fragrance. The texture is perfect for a foot scrub.

The sample that I received is of 50 gm whereas 300 gm is sold for INR 1100. It might not be the best foot scrub in the market but you can still give it a try.

Nyassa Oceana Foaming Face Scrub-

This product can easily be skipped. I was a bit skeptical of it when I saw it in the packaging and it disappointed me even more when I used it. It is a gel based scrub with a very liquid like consistency. You would usually end up using more than required and still not be satisfied with the results. It has apricot granules in it which aren’t very harsh and thus it can’t be a replacement for your typical scrubs.

The price for 200 gm is INR 900 and the sample received is of 30 gm. More than a scrub it is a face wash with exfoliating particles. You can use it daily for mild exfoliation.

Inveda BB Cream Matt Color-

This is the product I choose from the whole lot of makeup products to choose from. What attracted me to it was Matt Color. I have a very oily skin and I look out for products which help in controlling oil. The BB cream is neither too thick nor too thin. It spreads on skin easily. The coverage it provides is from light to medium. It does hide minor imperfections and it claims to work as a primer. It also has the added advantage of SPF 20 and thus you can easily skip your sunscreen if you aren’t going to stay out in the sun for a long time.

The price of 15ml is INR 140. It is a bit darker for my fair skin tone and neither has it controlled oil for more than 2-3 hours.

You also get a small booklet in the bag which has some amazing articles on makeup and skincare. It surely would help a lot of people during the festive skin in getting their looks perfect.
