I often get mails from friends and readers complaining I don’t do Indian wear styling posts. While it’s true to an extent (as I don’t really get to wear traditional outfits that much), I have worn Indian here and here in my earlier posts.

When Gunjan from Ruhaniyat by Gunjan shared her SS’14 catalogue with me, I was impressed and for the first time in months, itched to try out a churidaar-kameez.

After a lot of confusion, I zeroed in on this brilliant Orange Dancing Dolls Suit and wore it to tea at a friend’s.

Contemporary in design, this chanderi-silk suit length has been hand block printed with a combination of the traditional warli (doll) motifs along with the quirky auto and train prints. It is surely a head-turner!

The suit is perfect for professional and semi-formal wear and I love the dupatta so much!!

Ruhaniyat by Gunjan is an ethnic clothing line, bringing together fabric and craft forms from all parts of India. Exclusively designed for women, the designs range from traditional block prints, contemporary patterns, intricate applique and other hand-crafts. Colours are Ruhaniyat’s USP. I’ve known Gunjan for a few years now and her knack of picking the right designs and prints is what makes Ruhaniyat so special.

The pretty suit and the brilliant breeze turned a simple coffee into a wonderful experience

A pretty suit and a brilliant breeze make for a fun evening
